Deep Sea Fishing

The seabed drops away sharply not far off Watamu, which puts serious blue water within easy reach of the beach. Charters run out past the reef for sailfish, marlin, tuna and dorado, with most skippers here tagging and releasing billfish rather than bringing them in.

Boats go out for a half or a full day, leaving early. It is a long time on the water, so it suits confident sea-goers better than a first boat trip.
